Punjabi Script Bridge (“the Extension”) converts Punjabi text between Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi scripts in your browser. This policy explains what data is involved.
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect page content, captions, or browsing history.
- We do not send text to any server or AI service.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not require an account or login.
Data stored locally
The Extension uses Chrome’s storage.sync API only to save
your preferences:
- Whether conversion is enabled
- Preferred direction (Gurmukhi ↔ Shahmukhi)
- List of excluded websites
These preferences may sync across your Chrome browsers when you are signed into Chrome. They are not transmitted to the Extension developer.
Permissions
- storage — save settings
- activeTab — identify the current site for exclude/include
- Content scripts on web pages — detect and convert Punjabi text when enabled
Children
The Extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
